About Me
Julian was raised in Harlem New York and has been playing the piano for over 40 years (since age 4). When all the neighborhood kids were playing basketball, he was studying Piano, French horn, Trumpet, Trombone, and Violin. At a young age, he has had recitals at Carnegie Hall, and many other prestigious places performing with the New York State and City band and orchestra. Julian is currently serving as an Associate Pastor at Strait Gate Church in Mamaroneck NY, where he oversees the spiritual care and development of the Music and Arts department. A Church Musician and Minister of Music for 30 years, his previous experiences include over 10 years as an Assistant and Chief Musician at the Greater Refuge Temple Church, in Harlem, NY, Musician at St Lukes AME Church in Harlem, NY, Director of Music, Media, and Theatrical Arts at St Stephen Community AME Church in Harlem, NY, and Assistant Minister of Music at Salvation and Restoration COGIC in Brooklyn, NY. Julian in tandem is a student at Nyack College Manhattan School of Music, pursuing a Degree in Sacred Music. He also attended the Center for the Media Arts, located in Manhattan, majoring in Audio and Recording Engineering. He has recorded his own album entitled “Julian and Friends” on Vectron Records, and was instrumental in bringing other artist to the label as well. He has worked on a variety of projects for Vectron Records, and also with G.T.S. Records, and Savoy Records. He also performed on the Strait Gate Judah Chorale’s Live Recording, distributed by Atlantic International Records. Along with other recordings that he has contributed to, Julian has also produced a Gospel Compilation album entitled “Choose Life“, with some of the hottest unsigned gospel artist and songwriters in the NY area. Julian has traveled to Brazil, touring Rio and Sao Paulo, as well as having traveled to Europe, Switzerland and many other places. He was also the Musical Director for an off Broadway Stage Play Written and Produced by JD Lawrence, entitled “When A Man Cries” featuring Tony Terry, El Debarge, Robin S, and the legendary Edwin Hawkins. Julian is always working in the studio. “They Don’t Know” featuring Roxanne David is a single recently released by Julian for On Key Entertainment. Just one of many inspirational projects he is working on. Julian’s long-term goal is to provide an avenue for many young artists, musicians, singers, songwriters, and producers to reach their full potential in the Music Industry. He has provided production services to independent and professional artist alike in the making of demo and mastered projects in his own production studio, located in New Rochelle, NY. |

In June of 1993 almost 20 years ago, I had a radical conversion and an encounter with Jesus Christ! Since that day, I've never been the same! God has delivered me and set me free from alcohol & drug addiction, promiscuity, He's healed me from an abusive past, and from depression and a very low self-esteem. As a baby Christian, the very first ministry led by the Holy Spirit was in hospitals. God spoke to me in dreams and as I obeyed Him and visited those people, they gave their life to Christ and then went home to be with Him. It was during that time in my walk with Christ, I learned to hear and obey Gods voice. My faith increased greatly, with each miracle I saw! In July of 1995, I had the privilege to attend NY School for Urban Ministry (NYSUM) and received valuable instruction from anointed teachers as well as "hands on training" in: Prison Ministry at Rykers Island, Bowery Mission Soup Kitchens/Testifying on the streets, Late Nite Evangelism in Battery Park, Homeless Outreach and Children's Puppet & Clown Ministry. It was there that The Holy Spirit ignited His fire in me and my passion for hurting people deepened. After NYSUM, God led me to Victory Outreach Ministry in Spanish Harlem, where I met my husband, Antonio. It was in Victory Outreach Ministry where I was further trained in Urban Minstry: reaching drug addicts, hurting women, gang members and prostitutes; thru street rallies, evangelism, Prostitute Ministry and residential rehab programs. I also did volunteer work at a Crisis Pregnancy Center, in the South Bronx, where I experienced personal-inner healing from numerous abortions I had in my past. During my time there, I was able to listen, talk to, pray for and help pregnant women is crisis; as they made decisions to keep their babies! On July 1st, 2012 after 31 years of service, I retired from my career working for the NYC Dept of Education as Health & Physical Education Educator, Fencing Coach, Dean of Discipline, Conflict Resolution & Peer Mediation Co-ordinator, Facilitator for Seekers Christian Club & Founder of GirlzTalk Mentoring Club. God has truly been good to me! He's allowed me the privilege to minister to inner-city youth for over 19 years in my school and through various youth ministries. My husband & I are Youth Pastors at Ramah Christian Center, Birthplace of Destiny. We serve under the awesome leadership of Apostle, Prophet, Pastor Roderick S. Roberts in the Bronx. Children's/Youth ministry, as well as teaching and sharing the Word of God have always been my passion, and of course...OUTREACH! One of my desires has been to become a Chaplain. I have friends and know several people who are Chaplains. After my retirement, a former student and leader of our Seekers Club, contacted me. He shared about completing the UCSNY Chaplains Course. I was so EXCITED & asked him to email the info to me. Now the rest is HIS-STORY...on March 30th, 2013 I graduated with my classmates in the Bronx Supreme Court Building. I believe God is going to use UCSNY like never before in our city.
